Green Card Stories Mentioned in the BNA Daily Labor Report

On Friday, December 2, the Proskauer law offices in NYC held a panel discussion about prospective government legislation regarding current immigration laws. Stephen Yale-Loehr, an adjunct immigration law professor at Cornell Law
School and one of the co-creators of Green Card Stories, spoke at the event. BNA Daily Labor Report – a leading source of legal, regulatory, and business information for professionals – quotes him:

“We need to start telling these stories, to put a human face on immigration….We know from our individual practices that these are really amazing
people who have survived the process. Their diversity speaks to who we are as a
country….Many of the success stories are from people who would never get a green card in today’s environment of zero tolerance.”

Yale-Loehr was joined by Laura Danielson, an immigration lawyer with Frederikson & Byron in Minneapolis and also a co-creator of Green Card Stories.

Head over the the New York Times Lens Blog to catch today’s posting of Maureen Lambray’s War Remnants of the Khmer Rouge. Seth Mydans provides a thoughtful article:

“The quiet mood of [Maureen Lambray's] carefully composed and lit portraits of land-mine victims, as they stare intently into the camera, belies the horror of their mutilation.”
